Buying a Puppy Safely
Before you send money for a puppy, take a moment to check the breeder and the paperwork. A genuine breeder will always be happy to answer questions, show you the litter and explain the reservation terms in writing.
Beware of Puppy Reservation Scams
Unfortunately there are people online who present themselves as breeders, ask for a deposit to “reserve” a puppy and then stop replying. The buyer can be left without the money and without a puppy.

Before You Send Money
- Check the identity and contact details of the breeder.
- Check the kennel’s public presence — website, Google profile, social media.
- Read the reviews.
- Ask for licence information.
- Make sure a specific puppy or litter really exists — ask for a live video call.
- Read the reservation terms before paying anything.
- Keep your payment confirmation and all correspondence.
